Air Tubing Questions:

8.1
Q.
How do I connect multiple dampers to the same zone?
A.
Run one main tubing run to the last damper in each zone.  All additional dampers in each zone must be connected with a "T" fitting to its zone line.
8.2
Q.
I have 30+ dampers in the system, how can I prevent damper/zone mix-up?
A.
Use color-coded tubing. Make each zone a different color. This will help make installation a breeze. Tubing is available in eight (8) colors. See the order sheet for color listing.
8.3
Q.
What type of tube fittings do I need?
A.
You have four choices:
  1. Tees, for multiple damper zones.
  2. Couplings, for splicing lines.
  3. Elbows, for neat jobs and tight corners.
  4. Plugs, to plug up an open line.

Q.
How do I change a damper from one zone to another?
A.
Disconnect the damper from its zone main line, and tee it into the new zone main line. (Don't forget to plug up the open tube in the old zone.)

Q.
Can I run tubing inside the duct?
A.
Yes. You must use plenum rated tubing.  See order sheet for the listing.
8.6
Q.
Are there other plenum tubing applications?
A.
Here are some other examples of plenum tubing applications:
  • Anywhere you encounter extreme heat such as attics
  • Where you want to place tubing inside the ducts to install RegiDampers or InsertaDampers
  • Above drop ceilings utilized as plenum returns
  • Protect the tubing from physical damage

Q.
Can I leave the slave zone solenoid or a bypass solenoid output port open?
A.
No.  You must put a piece of tubing and a plug on it, or you must leave the red protection cap on it.
