Job Summary:

A highly skilled HVAC Technical Support Specialist with a strong sales proficiency role, where you will not only excel in technical troubleshooting but also play a pivotal role in promoting and selling Arzel products. HVAC Technical Support Specialist should have excellent communication skills, a fundamental grasp of schematics and wiring diagrams, be comfortable with controls, and possess a basic understanding of HVAC system design. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for addressing incoming calls from technicians, diagnosing issues professionally and efficiently, assisting customers in the design and implementation of HVAC zoning products, and conducting training sessions for contractors and distributors to showcase the benefits of Zoning and the complete line of Arzel products.

HVAC Tech Support Specialist Qualifications:

  • HVAC troubleshooting experience: Proficiency in identifying and resolving HVAC system issues.
  • Ability to read schematics: Capable of interpreting and utilizing schematics effectively.
  • Understanding of controls and wiring: Knowledgeable about HVAC control systems and wiring configurations.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC System and duct design (preferable): Familiarity with HVAC system and duct design principles.
  • General knowledge of Zoning Systems: Understanding of zoning systems in HVAC.
  • Possess great communication skills and a positive attitude: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with a positive demeanor.
  • Sales proficiency: Adept at promoting Arzel products and effectively communicating their value.
  • Ability to integrate OEM equipment, thermostats, and specialty controls with Arzel products: Competent in integrating various HVAC components.
  • Ability to develop and modify wiring diagrams per contractors’ requests for custom control strategies: Capable of creating and adjusting wiring diagrams to meet specific needs.

HVAC Tech Support Specialist Daily Duties Include:

  • Handling incoming tech calls: Professionally addressing and resolving technical inquiries from technicians.
  • Contribute to new product design: Collaborate with the team to provide input on new product development.
  • Offer ideas and suggestions for new product offerings: Actively participate in product innovation discussions.
  • Provide support to the marketing department as needed: Assist in marketing efforts related to technical aspects of Arzel products.
  • Help the technical department identify and track any potential product issues or trends: Monitor and report on product performance and customer feedback.
  • Demonstrate a solid troubleshooting methodology when guiding a technician through a technical support call: Guide technicians effectively through troubleshooting processes.
  • Share responsibility for the standardization of technical materials presented to customers: Ensure consistency in technical documentation.
  • Demonstrate an ability and willingness to assist others in the technical support department as well as other Arzel staff requiring technical guidance as needed: Collaborate with colleagues to provide technical assistance as required.

Additional HVAC Tech Support Specialist Duties:

  • Create or Update Training Presentations: Develop and maintain training materials.
  • Perform both onsite and offsite trainings for customers: Conduct training sessions to educate customers on Arzel products and services.
  • Attend trade shows as needed: Represent Arzel at industry events to promote products and engage with potential customers.
  • Ability to travel to up to 40% of the time, attend Trade Shows, Expos, conduct offsite training and make sales calls.

Other duties as assigned.

Arzel Zoning is seeking an HVAC Customer Support to join our dynamic team. In this role, they will not only excel in technical troubleshooting but also play a pivotal role in assisting to promote and sell Arzel products. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, a fundamental grasp of schematics and wiring diagrams, be comfortable with controls, and possess a basic understanding of HVAC system design.

As an HVAC Customer Support, they will be responsible for addressing incoming calls from technicians, diagnosing issues professionally and efficiently, assisting customers in the design and implementation of HVAC zoning products.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience as a HVAC technician.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with MS office Word, Excel Spreadsheets, and using CRM.

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting and standing to complete assignments for prolonged periods of time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, speak with co-workers, etc.
  • May be required to stand for long periods of time when attending events, trade shows, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine, printer, etc.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers and customers, vendors, and partners, etc. Must be able to communicate accurate information to these individuals.
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
